The performance, to be presented ahead of the May Day march, will celebrate workers’ struggles and victories.

Puppets Et Cetera! goes Nocturne

ENERGY DEMOCRACY!

WHERE: Alderney Landing (ground floor market space), 2 Ochterloney Street, Dartmouth

Join artist collective Puppets Et Cetera! for family friendly activities that will have you consider our society’s relationship to our natural environment with particular focus on resource extraction and energy production. Merging political protest and art installation, the event will offer ongoing craft building workshops, performances and interactive activities throughout the night.

Health Care Actions During the Council of the Federation, July 25-27

Canada’s First Ministers are meeting in Halifax from July 25-27 as the Council of the Federation.  The future of public health care is on the agenda.

The Nova Scotia Citizens’ Health Care Network, Council of Canadians, and allies are organizing several public events to show the premiers that Canadians are watching and we want action to protect, strengthen and extend public health care. The federal government must return to the negotiating table.
